Schützenfest is a tradition brought to America with the first German immigrants and was an old time festival that spawned today's Oktoberfest. Schützenfest was originally a shooting exhibition targetng wild eagles baited to fly close, then shot by crossbow. This has changed with time to now shooting a wooden eagle. When a piece of the wooden eagle is shot down it may contain a numberd tack that wins a prize. Join fellow members as they attempt to bring the majestic bird down. This a members only event with free beer and a dinner to follow the festivities.
